Our last two posts focused on the beginning and middle…
Puffy eyes are the bane of anyone and everyone who’s just trying to look their best, and they can strike without warning, just when you thought you were doing everything in your power to take care of your skin and your face. Vine Vera knows this struggle all too well, so we’re bringing you a convenient list of several techniques you can use to deflate those annoying puffy eyes that you can’t seem to loose.
Wet Tea Bags
This one’s a little weird, but it works! Caffeine has an effect on your body’s circulation and blood flow, and when you drink caffeine, it can increase blood pressure and heart rate. Most people know that, but did you know that you can also apply caffeine externally for targeted results? As it turns out, if you press some cold, wet black or green tea bags against the underside of your eyes, where that puffiness is that you want to get rid of, and leave them there for at least 15 minutes, they’ll “deflate” as blood leaves the area, allowing the undersides of your eyes to go back to a flatter, more youthful appearance. You can use either black or green tea for this, but remember that black tea has a higher caffeine content, so consider using black tea bags if your puffiness problem is especially bad, and green tea if it’s more minor.
This one’s another weird trick, but like the tea bags, it certainly does work. Unlike other tips, this one’s more of a quick fix, but it’s great if you have an exciting night out and don’t want puffy eyes to get in the way of having a good time and looking your best.
Keep six spoons in the refrigerator. They need to be left in there for a few hours, so if you want to be able to do this anytime when you need it, just keep the six in there all the time, so they’re ready whenever. When they’re cold, take two spoons and put them firmly against the underside of your eyes, where the puffiness is, and hold them there until the spoons aren’t so cold anymore. Replace them with fresh, cold spoons, and do this until all six spoons have been “used.” The cold should get muscles in the area to contract and pull in the puffiness for a little while, but remember that this isn’t a permanent fix.
Use a Specially Formulated Tightening Product
There are a few products out there that claim to tighten or firm your skin, which can be used in an attempt to accomplish things like removing puffiness from eyes. There are even some products that are supposed to specifically target the eyes and claim to help with puffiness.
Some of these products work well, and some don’t, but if you want guaranteed results, Vine Vera has an entire collection—appropriately named the “eye collection”—that specifically targets the skin around the eyes. The Cabernet High-Potency Contour Eye Firming Cream in particular helps with puffiness thanks to the caffeine included in the product, and also contains vitamins for good measure, to nourish and lighten your under-eye skin for a supremely youthful effect.
